How Community Works
Community is a public layer on top of Spaces. Any Space can be set to public, making its Issues visible to everyone on the platform. The community feed aggregates all public Issues into one stream at /public.
Public vs Private Spaces
Section titled “Public vs Private Spaces”A public Space uses the same features as a private Space: Projects, Issues, AI Teammates, roles, and permissions. The difference is visibility and access.
| Aspect | Private Space | Public Space |
|---|---|---|
| Visibility | Members only | Anyone on the platform |
| Contributions | Space members only | Any signed-in user |
| Community feed | Issues do not appear | Public Issues appear in the feed |
| AI Teammate mode | Standard | Community mode (triage, routing, welcoming) |
| Issue privacy | Private by default | Public by default; individual Issues can be private |
| Billing | Home Space | Home Space (unchanged) |
A public Space still belongs to its home Space for billing and administration.
The Feed
Section titled “The Feed”The feed at /public aggregates public Issues from all public Spaces into one stream. Anyone can access it, including users without an account.
| Filter | Available To | Options |
|---|---|---|
| Space | Everyone | All public Issues or a specific Space |
| Status | Everyone | Plan, To Do, Working, Review, Complete, On Hold, Canceled |
| Priority | Everyone | Low, Medium, High, Urgent |
| Due date | Everyone | Date range |
| Unread | Signed-in users | Toggle |
| Starred | Signed-in users | Toggle |
Contributions
Section titled “Contributions”Any signed-in user can contribute to a public Space by creating Issues and posting updates. Contributions follow the same Issue lifecycle as private work: create, configure, execute, complete. When an Issue completes, memory compilation propagates upward to the parent Project and Space.
AI Teammates in Community Mode
Section titled “AI Teammates in Community Mode”AI Teammates in public Spaces operate in community mode without configuration. Your AI Teammate reads Space context and team structure to classify incoming Issues, tag the right people, welcome new contributors, and bridge internal context for outsiders.
Community Profile
Section titled “Community Profile”Everything a user does in public Spaces builds their Community Profile:
- Contribution Graph — Visual map of activity over time, weighted by impact.
- Reputation Score — Measures quality over volume. An Issue that unblocks others earns more than a routine completion. Recent contributions weigh more than old ones.
- Highlight Reel — Top achievements, auto-selected by impact, displayed as shareable stories.
Shareable Artifacts
Section titled “Shareable Artifacts”| Artifact | Description |
|---|---|
| Milestone Cards | Auto-generated when a user hits a milestone (e.g., “Top 5% this quarter”) |
| Contribution Graph Embeds | Embeddable widget for external sites showing activity over time |
| Socra Wrapped | Annual summary of Issues completed, reputation earned, and impact |
