Chat with an AI Teammate

The chat sidebar lets you have a real-time conversation with any AI Teammate while viewing an Issue, Project, or Space.

Open the Chat Sidebar

1. Press ] or click the chat icon in the top-right of the detail view.
2. The chat sidebar opens on the right side.

The chat panel appears with the currently selected AI Teammate.

Start a Conversation

1. Type your message in the chat input.
2. Press Enter or click Send.
3. The AI Teammate responds based on the context of the current item (its content, timeline, parent Project, and Space).

The AI Teammate’s response appears in the chat thread.

Switch AI Teammates Mid-Conversation

1. Click the AI Teammate name at the top of the chat sidebar.
2. Select a different AI Teammate from the dropdown.

The conversation continues with the new AI Teammate. Previous messages remain visible.

Start a New Chat

Press ⌘L to clear the chat and start a new conversation with the same AI Teammate.

What AI Teammates Can Do in Chat

• Answer questions about the current Issue, Project, or Space
• Create new Issues inside the current Project
• Update Issue content based on your instructions
• Move Issues between Projects
• Create new Projects with starter Issues
• Compile or update memory
