How AI Teammates Work

AI Teammates in socra are context-aware actors that read your hierarchy — Space, Project, and Issue — to ship real work alongside you. Each AI Teammate has access to the current item’s content, timeline, and parent context. They remember past interactions and use compiled memory to give informed responses.

When you chat with an AI Teammate or assign one to an Issue, it reads:

  • The current item’s content and timeline
  • The parent Project’s content and compiled memory
  • The Space’s context description and compiled memory
  • Your role and permissions

This means your AI Teammate understands not just what you are working on, but the broader context of your project and team.

AI Teammates participate in memory compilation:

  • When an Issue completes, your AI Teammate compiles its content and timeline into the parent Project’s memory.
  • This compiled memory persists and informs future AI Teammate responses.
  • The compilation cascades upward: Issue > Project > Space.

Each of the 14 AI Teammates brings a different perspective and expertise. The AI Teammate’s personality affects its communication style and approach, not its access to your data. All AI Teammates have the same capabilities and context access.
